CYMT has a rolling admissions process.

Admittance to the Residency program is competitive and involves evaluating the theological fit, clarity of call, academic ability, and practical readiness of all candidates.

Below you will find the steps for applying to the Residency program for either the graduate or certificate programs:

*You must be 21 years of age before you begin the program.

Steps to join the Ministry Residency Program

Step 1: Residency Application

Your first step for admittance to the Graduate Residency or Ministry Leadership Certificate Programs is to complete the Residency Application.

You will need to gather:

  1. List of schools attended and dates
  2. Unofficial college transcripts (Graduate program only)
  3. Prepare answers to Biographical and Essay questions
  4. References’ contact information

Note: You must pay $25 application fee or have referral code to complete application.

Step 2: Interview

After reviewing your Residency application, the CYMT admissions staff will be in touch about scheduling a one-hour interview with some of our Residency staff. After the interview, CYMT will be in touch within 10 business days about your acceptance to the program.

Step 3: Apply for Jobs

The final step is to find the right job if you need one. The Ministry Residency staff will help guide you and advocate for you in the job application process.  You can view current openings on our job board.

The Ministry App will help match you with a list of churches, non-profits, or camps who fit your desired location, theology, and qualifications.  Simply click apply to all the openings you are interested in.

Application Deadlines

The Residency program has a rolling admissions process.  You can be accepted at anytime.  Once you have been accepted to the program and found a job then you can start the masters’ or certificate program at the beginning of the next semester.

Graduate Residency (MAYM)

Deadline for January Semester Start = November 15

Deadlines for Summer/Fall Semester Start = April 15

Ministry Leadership Certificate

Deadline for JanuaryStart = January 1

Deadlines for Summer/Fall Start = September 1
