Youth Director and Camp Outreach Coordinator (Full Time) – Huntsville, TX

Christ the King Methodist Church is nestled on the outskirts of the Piney Woods of East Texas on a beautiful 10 acre property just down the street from the local high school.  We are a fairly new church, having formed in November 2022, but are a congregation of 219 members and steadily growing.  We strive to be a church home where people can meet Jesus, believers can engage in life-giving community, and where everyone is welcome.  We believe in creating a space where people can have authentic encounters with Christ, discover their gifts and use them for Him; and are looking to add to our staff team to help fulfill that belief.  Our Youth Director and Outreach Coordinator will be someone who can not only engage our Youth in their walk with Christ, but can also help us be the hands and feet of Jesus in loving and serving our community’s needs.

We are seeking an individual to create and guide spiritual programs for youth in 7^th-12^th grades. This individual will work with other staff to create, coordinate, implement, and market community outreach events.

This is a full-time position with a flexible schedule.

Requirements

• A college degree is preferred but work experience can be substituted.
• Must live an active, authentic, and well-grounded Christian faith and be familiar with Wesleyan theology
• Knowledge of the Bible
• Prefer 4 years of experience working with youth (preferably in a ministry setting) and have the relationship and leadership skills necessary to work effectively with youth and their parents/guardians
• Knowledge and experience with the technology and programs necessary to manage and maintain websites and social media
• Confident, self-motivated, and can take initiative to create opportunities to grow the youth ministry and church outreach programs
