Lester Memorial Methodist Church, Oneonta, Alabama

Job Type: Full-Time

Church Description:

The mission of Lester Memorial Methodist Church is “To be disciples…to make disciples” and our members strive to make this a reality individually and as a congregation.  We are a loving, growing, and welcoming church who believe in the Bible as the inspired and infallible word of God and seek to follow Christ in all things.

Established more than 100 years ago and still growing both in numbers and in seeking God and His will, Lester Memorial is active in both local and foreign missions, not just financially but in active participation.  It is our belief that wherever there is human need, the church is called to mission.  We are the hands and feet of Jesus and the agents of God’s love and grace to all people.

Weekly services include a contemporary service and a more traditional worship service, with weekly attendance of about 300.  The church campus covers a full city block and includes a new daycare/children’s center, the Upper Room contemporary worship space, separate fellowship hall, traditional worship space, church offices (including a spacious office for the Director of Youth Ministry), and very large youth center with it’s own worship space as well as classrooms.
