Job Description:
Emmanuel Episcopal Church (Alexandria, VA) is seeking a full time Director of Children and Youth Ministries to harness the enthusiasm of their young families and guide the parish in establishing thriving formation ministries. Casting a vision with dedicated members, the Director will partner with clergy, staff, and volunteers to empower children and youth to grow in their faith, embracing their role in the parish and greater community while grounded in the traditions of the Episcopal Church. There will be a significant emphasis on outreach and community involvement for children, youth, and their families. The church is open to lay or ordained candidates with three years of ministry or translatable experience. Interested candidates should have a Bachelor’s degree or equivalent, an ability to collaborate with a variety of others to achieve ministry goals, and well-grounded faith that can be shared effectively with young people.
