Fellows Coaching

“A coach is someone who tells you what you don’t want to hear,
who has you see what you don’t want to see,
so you can be who you always knew you could be.”
– John Wooden

Subscribers to the CYMT Fellows Program can receive one-on-one youth ministry coaching. You and/or your ministry will benefit from up to 10 hours of coaching over the next year.

During your residency, your coach was there to guide, encourage, and teach you. Where do you need guidance, encouragement, or help learning something now?

You might benefit from a monthly coaching check-in. You and your coach can identify areas where you could use support moving a project forward. You may be going through a season where you need a monthly check-in to provide support or encouragement because of a challenging situation you are facing.

Your ministry might benefit from having a CYMT coach come lead a:

  • Visioning Retreat
  • Volunteer Training
  • Curriculum
  • Discipleship Plan

You may be going through a life transition and need the support of a coach in situations like:

  • Onboarding! Processes for launching well at a new congregation.
  • Saying Goodbye! How to leave a ministry well.
  • Heading to the Chapel! From single youth minister to finding balance after marriage.
  • When Kids Arrive! Balancing family and ministry.
  • They Were All Youth Once! Transitioning out of youth ministry into other pastoral roles.

Depending on your needs, CYMT will utilize our existing network of coaches to offer specialized support for managing life transitions and maintenance in the midst of the practice of youth ministry.
