Moving to our current location over 50 years ago, Palms updated its facilities to serve the church and the community better. Palms Youth
Our youth—under our former Student Ministry Coordinator’s leadership and with the tireless help of amazing volunteers—took three summer trips in 2024 that were all formative and fun in unique ways. There was a trip to Orlando to serve with “Give Kids the World,” a service trip to Charleston, SC, where our group joined with a local ministry to assist in their efforts to serve the underprivileged, and our high school students went to Montreat—our largest group in years—where they hiked, studied, worshiped, ate, and enjoyed fellowship together for a week in the mountains of North Carolina.
Our students led worship on Ash Wednesday and then again on Youth Sunday at the end of the summer. They supported efforts of the deacons, the health ministry, and joined with the whole congregation in packing meals for Hunger Fight. They also held a rummage sale fundraiser in the spring.
