Director of Youth Ministries (Full-Time) – Montgomery, AL

We are a historic congregation, seeking to meet the needs of our local community, as we have for 195 years. Our Program Staff is comprised of age-level directors, assistant directors, and support staff. Our congregation is comprised of 2,500 members and we worship approximately 500 each week. We have a social media and television ministry, which reaches 20,000 viewers each week. Our focus areas are worship, study, and service within the liturgical traditions of Methodism. We currently have two appointed clergy, both ordained elders, and we are situated between Huntingdon College and Alabama State University, with whom we have strong ties. We have two Pre-K schools and an adult respite program, meaning we care for people in both ends of life, and every season in between.

Located in the heart of Old Cloverdale, FUMC is was the first congregation formed in Montgomery (1829). At 195-years-old, we remain a vibrant pillar in our community and around the world. This post is for the position of Youth Director, who is passionate about leading students into a deep relationship with Christ, helping students discover gifts for serving locally and abroad, and resourcing families from the tenets of scripture and the historical traditions of the Church, as found in the Creed. This position is full-time, comes with benefits, will shepherd students from several area schools, and will continue to place students in relationship with our chief community partners, as they serve with our congregation.
