Director of Student Ministries (Full-Time) – Fort Worth, TX

Arborlawn United Methodist Church located in southwest Fort Worth, Texas offers an established Student Ministry (grades 6-12) program with room for innovation and growth. Current primary ministries include Sunday School and Sunday night programming including worship & life groups, games and dinner. Ongoing ministries include participation in local short-term mission projects, and a summer week-long mission trip, as well as a winter retreat, and confirmation. The Director of Student Ministries creates, plans, implements, and evaluates curriculum for a variety of areas, recruits, maintains, and trains volunteers, establishes faith milestones for students in conjunction with the Pastor of Family Ministries. The Director of Student Ministries participates in three distinct worship services on Arborlawn’s campus: Simple Worship (a teaching service focused on families), Rooted Worship (a contemporary service), and Traditional Worship (classic style with choir and organ in sanctuary).

The Family Ministries team is a dynamic and fun group of individuals who like to fail foward, evaluate growing edges, and implement exciting ministries to teach people about the unconditional love of Jesus. Preference will be given to individuals based on education and 5+ years of full-time, paid experience in Student Ministry. Must be able to articulate and teach Wesleyan theology to children, students, and adults.
